Cincinnati’s first Crafts of Cairo sale is here!

Looking for the perfect gift for a loved one? Join HANDS at our annual holiday craft sale to shop products handcrafted by women artisans at the Association for the Protection of the Environment (APE) in Cairo, Egypt. Through its job skills training program, APE empowers women living in Cairo’s garbage collector’s city — otherwise referred to as “Garbage City”. We pride ourselves in ensuring that all artisans are fairly paid for their crafts. We welcome you to explore the array of handicrafts designed using clean, recycled materials. The artisans use unique materials such as recycled scraps of fabric, paper, soda can tabs, and Nespresso coffee pods to create stunning crafts. From handmade purses and tote bags, to stuffed animals, to jewelry, there something for everyone at the Cairo Crafts Sale. Proceeds will go towards supporting the APE and providing increased opportunities for young women in the community.
